I may be knee-deep in wedding season as May rolls into June, but ever since their engagement session last fall, I seriously could not wait until Mandi and Paul’s late-May wedding to start off my summer! Their wedding was at the Darby House, which sits on acres upon acres of gorgeous land in Galloway, just southwest of Columbus. Take a gorgeous couple and put them in the middle of breath taking grounds? Sounds like the recipe for a beautiful wedding.
Their day threatened of rain, but it held out just with enough time for their planned outdoor ceremony. In fact, it began to rain towards the end of it! Luckily the staff of the Darby House was ready with umbrellas. Unfortunately, this did squash their plans for outdoor portraits immediately afterwards. But Mandi and Paul didn’t let the rain get to them, and they had a blast with their guests. Can I just say? Some of the best wedding food I’ve ever had. Short ribs were so yummy, I wish I had a bottomless stomach!
A couple of weeks later, Mandi and Paul got back into their attire, and we returned to the Darby House with their adorable children, Charlotte and Ben, for some portraits. Thanks to the Darby House for letting us use their grounds on a later date! The day was gorgeous and we had so much fun taking our time, getting great images and recalling the memories from their big day.
