From the first time I spoke with Bethany and Ashley, I knew I was going to love getting to know them and capturing their love story! At their engagement last December, I loved exploring the Short North with them and their Cavalier pup, Bruce! The more I learned of their wedding plans, the more I knew how beautiful it would be. Taking place in my favorite neighborhood in Columbus – German Village – how could you go wrong?
Indeed their entire early October wedding day took place all over German Village, and we took full advantage of all the great backdrops this part of town as to offer. We began with the brides getting ready with their bridesmaids at an amazing Airbnb rental home. They got dressed in different floors of the house, and had their first look in the backyard. From there, we traveled to a different part of the Village and explored several different side streets, finding great photo opportunities at every turn.
We eventually made our way to their wedding venue, The Kitchen, a newer restaurant in German Village that provides a really great urban space, and amazing food! Ashley and Bethany, walking down the aisle together, held their ceremony indoors against the restaurant’s windows overlooking Livingston Ave. The celebration continued into the evening, with cake cutting, a bouquet toss and plenty of dancing! Congratulations to these two brides, it was so much fun capturing their big day!
