Worth the wait!! Meg + Gianna had to reschedule their March 2020 celebration several times over the past couple of years. (We even shot their Maine engagement back in 2019 – check it out!) Finally, on a Friday in mid-June, we celebrated! We partied! We laughed, jumped the broom, and danced. And it also happened to be Pride weekend here in Columbus. Couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the weekend!
Though they were married in a tiny outdoor ceremony in Boston on their original date, we still did everything as originally planned. We began our day at an adorable Airbnb in German Village, where each of them got dressed and I staged their first look just outside. From there, we headed to Scioto Audubon Metro Park for portraits, and their wedding party joined us there too!
We ended our portrait time at their venue, High Line Car House in the Brewery District. I had to take them out back to the blue wall immediately for a couple more portraits. And then it was time for the ceremony! This time more of us could be present, in person, as their friend “married” them again, over 2 years later. They ended by jumping the broom!
Their celebration continued with a cocktail hour, toasts, dinner, and a first dance. And then the whole crowd danced the night away! We ended the day with some night shots outside beneath the strung lights. This day was just the best in every way! I’ve loved working with Meg + Gianna at every twist and turn on their longer than expected journey! But it feels so good to celebrate with them!
