Last month I had the opportunity to travel down to southern Florida for Kayla and Sara’s engagement! I’m photographing their wedding later this summer in Hermitage PA (just outside Youngstown), but they currently live in Delray Beach, Florida where Kayla goes to graduate school. It was the perfect getaway from the cold Ohio winter!
As soon as I stepped off the plane that Thursday morning in Fort Lauderdale, I checked into my Airbnb and then headed straight to Delray Beach to meet these two. We got lunch at one of their favorite restaurants on the water and took some time to get to know each other a little better, since we hadn’t met in person yet. Then we got started, shooting on the pier next to the restaurant, before heading to the beach. It was unusually crowded that day, but we found some good spots where Kayla and Sara dipped their toes in the water! We ended our session at one of their favorite locations, Morikami Japanese Gardens. I just loved exploring the town together and getting to know these two better! So excited to see them back in the midwest for their August wedding!
(For the rest of the trip, I booked 2 more sessions and then got stuck in Florida for two extra days due to a snow storm back in Ohio! So it was a pretty amazing trip!)
