Molly + Carla rang in the new year by celebrating their recent marriage! They got married in a tiny ceremony last fall, and then had a bigger reception on New Years Eve at The Kitchen in German Village. I loved ending 2025 and welcoming 2026 with them!
We began our day getting ready at their Clintonville home. Due to the early sunset time in December, it was already dark by the time I arrived to them! (All good, we already knew this as we planned the day!) They got dressed together, had a quick tarot card session with their closest people, and then we headed to their venue!
At The Kitchen, there was snow in the air and on the ground as we did a handful of night portraits outside before guests arrived. They kicked off their reception with dinner, drinks and toasts, and then wasted no time getting on the dance floor! As you might expect at a New Years wedding, the dancing was abundant and spirited and the floor was packed, all the way to midnight! Molly + Carla kissed at the ball drop and welcomed the new year together as wives.
What I love about sharing this reception in particular, is we get to skip all the typical formalities and go quickly into sharing lots of dance floor photos – their guests sure knew how to party! Celebrating with all your favorite people is the best part of wedding receptions. And there were so many surprise familiar faces for me among their guests, it was so lovely to see so many people I know and love! I even made some new friends too. Cheers!
