Columbus Ohio LGBTQ+ Wedding at North Bank Park: Megan + Shana

On the last Saturday of August, on Labor Day weekend, Megan + Shana were married at North Bank Park Pavilion! It was a sunny, colorful, joyful downtown holiday weekend celebration with two brides, a few sunflowers, and lots of games. Perfect in every way, I couldn’t get enough! And I feel like I made so many new friends that day.

We began our day getting ready at their friend’s home in Grove City. Once both sides were dressed, we headed downtown to McFerson Commons Park in the Arena District. There I staged their First Look beneath the arches, and their wedding party joined for more portraits. Then we headed down the street to their venue, North Bank Park Pavilion, for more portraits and onto their ceremony!

Megan and Shana were married against the downtown skyline and beneath the summer sun. And then it was time to celebrate! Dinner, toasts, cake, golden hour photos, the shoe game and dancing followed. We ended the day together with some epic night shots against the city skyline! Congratulations lovebirds! I’m excited to see what you all do next!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
