Columbus Ohio LGBTQ+ Renaissance-themed Wedding: Lexi + Becca

On the first Saturday of October, Lexi + Becca were married in a Renaissance-themed wedding! Every detail was on point, but beyond that, their big day celebrated their journeys, living authentically, and being with their people who love and support them most. It was the most colorful and joyous day!

We began our day getting ready at a hotel on the west side. The brides got ready together, and once dressed, we were off to Griggs Reservoir with their wedding party (aka adventure party) for portraits. All of their attendants were dressed to the theme, down to every last detail!

Then it was onto their wedding venue, the Forge Tavern! This is a gaming bar on Bethel Road, that was decked out to the Renaissance theme by Nerdtastic Nuptials! Lexi and Becca trusted them fully to execute their vision, and I was excited to capture their reaction as they saw the space for the first time.

Their ceremony continued, and then we celebrated with golden hour portraits, their first dance, toasts, dinner and cake. We made sure to get a group portrait with their polycule! Then the party continued with dancing, singing, gaming and some epic night shots! Congratulations to Lexi + Becca and everyone who shares in their love!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
