Kinjal + Aswin had an entirely outdoor wedding celebration this summer… and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect! In fact, everything about their Dayton Ohio Indian wedding was perfection. The colors, the culture, the food, the togetherness. The fact that it was a backyard wedding made it even more special. Believe it or not, this was my first time shooting in Dayton!
I began my day with them i the morning at Kinjal’s parents house where she got ready. We staged her first look with Aswin in her backyard, and then we headed to Smith Gardens, a small and quiet park just down the road. It was the middle of the day and the sun was harsh, but we made it work! From there, we went to Aswin’s family home, where family and friends gathered for their wedding events.
Their Hindu ceremony took place on the back deck, converted into a beautiful Mundap for the occasion. This was followed by dinner, toasts, and lawn games! There was also a Vidaii ceremony that took us inside the home, followed by an outfit change and a few more portraits in their new attire to end the day. Congratulations to the newlyweds! I loved being a part of this very meaningful day!
