Columbus Ohio Courthouse Elopement: Leah + Bill

Surprise! Leah + Bill eloped! After having to reschedule and postpone their 2020 wedding plans indefinitely, they finally made it official last month in a courthouse ceremony and portraits around town! So happy it finally happened for them and to be a part of it. Even if they did freeze their butts off!

It was a Friday in mid-February, when we up at the Courthouse for their ceremony. Once married, we continued with exploring downtown Columbus – we went for a walk to a nearby parking garage for some rooftop vibes, then warmed up with some celebratory beers in an igloo at Land Grant, explored a block in Franklinton, and ended with some skyline and bridge photos at the Scioto Mile. A true mini tour of scenic downtown Columbus! On a super cold Friday afternoon. But sunny! Which makes all the difference.

They told just a few close family members about their plans, so it was fun to be a part of that secret too. Congrats to the newlyweds!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
