Darby House Fall Wedding:
Stephanie + Daniel

It was the last weekend of October, the leaves were on display in fall color, and Stephanie + Daniel got married! They couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day for it, and their venue Darby House was the perfect backdrop! They had a low-key day and kept it simple – no wedding party, no traveling all over. Just kept it about themselves and their family and friends.

There were some some minor mishaps at the beginning of their day, but they did not let it get in the way of things. In fact, these two are so chill they switched things up to accommodate, ditched the first look and Daniel ended up helping Stephanie get ready! Couples getting ready together is one of my absolute favorite things.

Afterwards, their pup Cooper joined them for a few portraits (he joined us for their engagement session too!), and then it was onto the ceremony! Indoors and overlooking the beautiful grounds all around, it was short and sweet, and included vows they wrote for one another. At cocktail hour, we escaped for a few more pictures down the long road that leads to the property – the most picturesque spot at Darby House. Coupled with golden hour, we made magic! These two especially appreciate photography, and they knew we were making gorgeous pictures too as it was happening, which was pretty cool.

Then it was onto the reception – dinner, toasts, cake cutting and the first dance – and then guests danced the night away. We capped off the evening by escaping the dance floor for a couple of night shots outside. Congratulations to Stephanie + Daniel, it was a pleasure and a joy capturing your day!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
