Terra + Brian: Downtown Columbus Ohio Fall Wedding Photographer

I was so excited for this wedding. I am a sucker for fall wedding and downtown settings! Terra and Brian’s mid-October wedding celebration at Dock580 (at the Venue at Smith Brothers) did not disappoint! Every detail was gorgeous and classic, and they lucked out with beautiful weather to compliment!

I started out with the girls at the Crowne Plaza Hotel downtown, and as soon as Terra stepped into her dress, we staged the First Look between her and Brian in the private club suite. First looks are great because they give us the time to get lots of great portraits before the ceremony without being rushed! From there, we piled into the limo and traveled to Bicentennial Park/Scioto Mile and the Arena District arch for portraits. Brian’s daughter Emma joined us and was all smiles all the time! I just loved the color scheme Terra picked out – the blue-gray dresses really allowed for her coral-peach and burnt orange flowers – beautifully designed by Lynette at MadisonHouse – to pop! And I thought Terra’s lace dress, the look completed with a glitzy belt and burnt orange shoes, was to die for!

Back at Dock580, guests gathered for an outdoor ceremony in the courtyard. The ceremony was so sweet, and full of laughter. Just after Terra and Brian were announced husband and wife, Emma joined them during their exit walk down the aisle. It was a beautiful moment!

At the reception, the beautiful colors continued into the details. I thought the cake was amazing! And it tasted great, too! Guests danced the night away – and I’m pretty sure Emma out-danced everyone!

Congratulations, Terra and Brian! I can’t wait to work on your album design!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
