Steve + Francisco: Boston, MA Fall Gay Wedding Photography

I was so privileged to travel all the way to Boston, MA for Steve and Francisco’s fabulous fall wedding in early October. It was such an amazing celebration, full of love from family and friends, and lots of bright fall colors at every turn!

Steve and Francisco are such an amazing couple and genuinely *nice* people. They chose a colorful, modern backdrop for their celebration in Springstep, a dance studio with bright colored walls, sharp lines in the architecture, and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the town of Medford. For a photographer, such a playful and contemporary backdrop is a dream to shoot! Even when the weather turned during outdoor portraits at City Hall, we still had plenty of interesting spots to work with back at Springstep. And it complimented their fall theme perfectly, with all the reds and oranges! It all came together beautifully.

Their ceremony took place just as the sun began to set, in a dance studio with an orange backdrop, mirrors on one side and windows on the other. Such dramatic colors, it was gorgeous! The ceremony culminated in a beautiful handfasting ceremony, assisted by every member of their wedding party.

Onto the reception, guests enjoyed a Venezuelen dinner, complete with lamb chops and fried plaintains. It was absolutely delicious! Some of the best wedding food I’ve ever had.

From the first dance, to their joint mother-son dances, and cutting the cake, the night was full of love and laughter. I even got in some dancing myself – I had a blast!

Congratulations to Steve and Francisco – I hope to see you two again very soon!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
