High Line Car House Wedding: Lauren + Nick

Lauren + Nick’s High Line Car House wedding was so fun in every way! We had a beautiful mid-July day, where we dodged a few rain drops but ended up with beautiful evening light for portraits after their ceremony! It’s hard to believe, but with the couple living in Boston, we didn’t get a chance to meet in person until the wedding day! Still, they were so laid-back and comfortable in front of the camera, you would never know it! We clicked right away.

I began my day with these two at Le Meridien – The Joseph Hotel in the Short North, where each side got ready. I primarily covered Lauren’s side as far as preparations, but I was able to capture portraits for both sides separately on the 2nd floor of the hotel before heading to the venue.

Their ceremony was just down High Street at the High Line Car House, one of my favorite venues in downtown Columbus! Nick and Lauren did not see each other that day until the ceremony, and you can see the emotion in Nick’s face as he saw Lauren come down the aisle. After their ceremony, we were greeteed by beautiful golden hour light for their outdoor portraits. Lauren and Nick didn’t want to spend a ton of time away from their guests doing pictures, but I think we made the most of our time! There are so many cool spots right around their venue in the Brewery District.

Guests partied the night away at their reception, but I just had to steal the couple to jump outside for one killer sunset shot! Congratulations to Lauren + Nick!

Amy Ann Photography

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
