Jaime + Meg: Columbus Ohio Same-Sex Wedding Reception at Franklin Park Conservatory

Jaime + Meg were married back in December of 2015 in a small ceremony in Hocking Hills. Now, a year & a half later, they celebrated with a reception in Columbus!

As this was just a reception, their day was really laid-back, and a bit unconventional! My time with them began with them in downtown Columbus, already dressed in their coordinating black celebration attire. We started with portraits by their hotel, and then the Scioto Mile, a spot special to them as they had their first date at COSI.

Onto their reception venue, Wells Barn at Franklin Park Conservatory, Jaime + Meg had plenty to entertain their guests during cocktail hour: there were games throughout the back patio space, including Jenga, Connect4, pop-a-shots, ring toss, cornhole and more! The fun continued inside with various table games acting as centerpieces, which guests were later able to take home. After dinner, toasts, a wedding slideshow and a surprise breakout dance, guests enjoyed smores, an ice cream bar, a photobooth, and plenty of dancing. Jaime + Meg truly know how to celebrate!!

Amy Ann Photography

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
