Emily + Mike: Columbus Ohio Spring Wedding at the Ivory Room at Miranova

Emily + Mike’s spring wedding was the perfect way to kick off the year! After being on leave for a few months with my baby, I was itching to get back out there and shoot again. Emily + Mike’s wedding took me back to downtown Columbus, at one of my favorite venues, the Ivory Room!

But first, I joined the girls getting ready at the Renaissance hotel, before heading to the Ohio Statehouse where we met Mike, and my second shooter Steve, for the First Look. It was a cool and windy day, but we stayed outdoors as long as we could until a little sprinkle came along! At that point we headed indoors for additional portraits.

From there it was onto the Ivory Room, where guests gathered for their ceremony, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Columbus skyline. The celebration continued with dinner, toasts, cake cutting and dancing!

Amy Ann Photography

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
