Suzette + Brad: Columbus Ohio Fall Wedding at Grange Insurance Audubon Center

Suzette + Brad’s fall wedding at St Francis of Assisi and Grange Insurance Aububon Center was the definition of fun and colorful! Their orange and teal themed celebration was present in every turn, and the two of them had a direct hand in every detail! Suzette being a graphic designer, designed the stationary herself and truly planned a picture-perfect wedding from beginning to end. But of course, beyond the details, Suzette + Brad are an adorable couple who smiled, laughed and enjoyed every minute of their big day!

We began the day getting ready at the Hilton Polaris, where State of Face Makeup Artistry and Hair Stylist Jennifer King perfected Suzette’s look. Once dressed, I staged the first look on the hotel’s back patio against a backdrop of orange and teal streamers! (And those streamers were just the beginning!) From there, we hopped on a limo and headed downtown, first to the Grange Insurance Audubon Center – to get some daylight shots at their reception venue – and then later some portraits in the Short North, finding every orange or teal backdrop imaginable!

At St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in the Victorian Village, they joined family and friends for their wedding ceremony, followed by a streamer exit just outside. From there, it was back to the Audubon Center to celebrate! Their reception space was decked out in orange and blue streamers, flowers and lanterns from head to toe, truly one of the best decorated rooms I’ve seen. Bluewater Kings band was on hand to entertain, but in case guests weren’t up for dancing, a whole table full of board games was set up! And more treats than I could count!

What an amazing day! Congratulations to Suzette + Brad!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
