Christina + Chris: Columbus Ohio Same-Sex Engagement in German Village

I first met Christina and Chris back in November 2012 when I shot their surprise proposal in Goodale Park! It’s been a while since then, but they’ve kept in touch and kept me updated as they made their final wedding plans. They made plans to travel to Seattle, WA to get legally married and have a bit of a honeymoon out there. When they return at the end of the week, they are having an intimate brunch reception in downtown Columbus! I am so excited to be shooting their post-wedding portraits and their brunch reception coming up this Sunday! But before they left for Seattle, we got together for some engagement pictures on a Sunday morning in German Village – just 3 weeks from their reception! It was a beautiful morning with great light at every turn. This is proof that morning sessions are amazing! Here are some of my favorites.

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
