Crissy + Leo: Columbus Ohio Wedding at The Vault

I had so much fun shooting Crissy and Leo’s downtown wedding at the Vault! We had an absolutely perfect day in late May. They filled their wedding day with so many cute details, all things book related! From their book cover invite, to their bookmark place cards, the theme was not only adorable, but also a great fit with the charm of their downtown wedding venue, a historic bank vault.

I had second shooter part of the day – thanks, Wes Mosley! – and split up for getting ready pictures and separates portraits. The girls were at the Residence Inn while the guys were the Renaissance, so we were able to do separates portraits simultaneously without either side catching a glimpse of the other! We pulled it off and Crissy and Leo did not see eachother until she walked down the aisle. Their ceremony was short and sweet, and we moved on to lots of portraits afterwards in the alleys behind Gay Street. With so much there, we could accomplish quite a bit in a short time, and we had perfect timing for beautiful evening light!

Back at the reception, everyone had a great time, especially the flower girls who rocked out to “Let it Go” (and I caught some adults belting it out too!). Congratulations to Crissy and Leo!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
