LGBTQ Spring Wedding at Clintonville Women’s Club: Carolyn + Kaleisha

A few weekends ago, I had the pleasure of shooting Carolyn and Kaleisha’s beautiful spring wedding at the Clintonville Women’s Club here in Columbus. Everything about their day was planned with meaning; they picked April 6 because it was their anniversary. They were so happy throughout the entire day, even though things were running a little bit behind (as often times happens at weddings), they didn’t stress it and instead made it a point to enjoy the day!

We planned a first look outside the venue as family and friends looked on; there were plenty of tears and laughter all around. At the ceremony, there was an incredible amount of love and support among their guests. Carolyn and Kaleisha’s ceremony culminated in a hand fasting aided by their wedding attendants and loved ones. During their grand exit, they were all smiles as they high-fived guests along the way!

At the reception, everyone was so ready to party, guests started dancing before dinner was served! Needless to say, everyone had a great time and danced the night away. After a bouquet toss that had the single ladies grasping for flower pedals, a kick-ass soul train line and lots of fun in the photobooth, Carolyn and Kaleisha surprised everyone with RAINBOW JELLOW SHOTS, and gave an emotional toasts to all their guests, thanking them for their love and support. Does it get any better than that?!

Congratulations to Carolyn and Kaleisha! It was an absolute honor to be a part of your wedding day!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
