Erika + Tyler: Westerville Ohio The Lakes Golf & Country Club Wedding

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a year since Erika and Tyler’s engagement session, and now I am sharing images from their gorgeous wedding a few weeks ago! Erika and her mother Robyn and I had kept in close contact throughout the planning process, and between all the gorgeous details and cute ideas I kept hearing about, and the picturesque setting at the Lakes Golf & Country Club, I knew I was in for a beautiful wedding!

The day started at Genoa Baptist Church, where the guys and girls got ready, and I jumped back and forth between the two to get shots of each of them. With the help of one of Erika’s bridesmaids, I was able to hang Erika’s wedding dress from a tree in front of the church, which was perfect considering Erika bought the most adorable hanger to go with it! We also got some separate wedding party shots before the ceremony, carefully avoiding any view of eachother, of course! When it finally came time for the ceremony, it was hard for everyone to hold it together when they saw eachother for the first time.

After the ceremony, it was on to the Lakes for pictures all together! The Lakes has some of the most beautiful grounds I’ve ever seen. As a photographer, I couldn’t ask for anything more perfect as a backdrop for wedding portraits!

The reception was held in a magnificent tent, and the weather was just perfect. Guests had a great time on the dance floor and in the photobooth! Erika and Tyler and their families were so kind to me, there were times I felt like more of a guest than just the photographer. As the reception wound down and the sun began to set, Erika and Tyler appeased me by leaving the party with me for a few minutes for some sunset pictures, and I’m so glad I did! The light was just perfect.

Congratulations to the newlyweds and enjoy some of my favorite images from this sweet wedding!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
